Overall, SoundSwitch is a lightweight, simple Windows utility, which allows you to switch between the playback devices that are connected to your system. Supported sound cards include digital audio, headphones or internal playback devices. In addition, you can also deselect the devices which you do not wish to use, in order to be certain that the devices you switch between are the appropriate ones you need (SoundSwitch automatically detects the available sound cards). You simply right-click on the icon in the system tray to open the settings window. Once installed, SoundSwitch runs in the background and only requires a quick configuration to get up and running. Enter SoundSwitch! This little tool is a convenient system tweak that allows you to change the playback device using a keyboard shortcut. In order to switch between the available devices you normally access the system settings and manually select a different option. Every PC supports several sound cards, or playback devices.
